When I'm not busy with something involving mushrooms and mycology, I can sometimes be found sitting at a piano either with my own trio (sometimes with a tenor saxophonist making it a quartet) or in solo voice-and-piano gigs.

On April 4, 2009, the great and genuine bluesman Roosevelt Dean, "the Voice of Syracuse,"
passed away at home. He was 65. Rosie was a multiple SAMMY Award-winner and hall-of-famer
and a nominee for the prestigious W.C. Handy Award.
After many years as a fan of this awesome performer and songwriter, I am honored and privileged
to have played piano behind Rosie for the final six months of his remarkable life.
Rosie's spirit, like his music, lives on. Rest ye well, Rosie... rest ye well... and thank you. Bluesman ROOSEVELT DEAN
